Traditionally, the X1 can be controlled through an iOS/Android app, allowing users to remotely pilot the drone or choose from preprogrammed flight modes. However, what sets the X1 apart from previous models is its ability to operate without a smartphone or a remote. Users can simply push a button on the drone itself to select one of the five available flight modes.
The flight modes include Hover, which enables the drone to hover in place; Follow, where the drone tracks the user from behind; Zoom Out, which starts with a close shot and then moves back to capture a wider view; Orbit, where the drone circles around the user while keeping them centered in the frame; and Bird’s Eye, which provides a top-down view of the user. This feature allows for easy operation and quick access to different shooting perspectives without the need for additional devices.
