Casiris Tech has launched a new Full HD projector called the OmniStar L80 on Kickstarter, following the success of its previous crowdfunding campaign. The L80 boasts a brighter LED light source compared to other models on the market. It features a custom 5.7-inch LCD projection module that supports 1080p visuals and can project images up to 200 diagonal inches when positioned about 19 feet away from the wall. The projector offers 100% sRGB color gamut support but does not support HDR content. It has a native contrast ratio of 1,000:1, or 50,000:1 dynamic contrast.

Setting up the L80 is relatively easy with auto vertical/horizontal keystone correction and autofocus. The projector also includes a built-in kickstand that allows for vertical tilt adjustment of up to 15 degrees. However, it requires a wall outlet for power as it does not have a built-in battery.

What sets the L80 apart is its brightness performance. While most LED projectors have output lumens in the mid-hundreds, the L80 achieves 1,500 ANSI lumens, making it brighter and suitable for movie watching even without complete darkness, although it may not be sufficient for daytime viewing without drawing the blinds.
