Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor, is set to make her entry into the film industry with a South Indian language film titled “Vrushabha.” This pan-Indian movie will mark her debut before her much-awaited Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s “Bedhadak,” which got delayed for undisclosed reasons.
“Vrushabha” will be produced by Ekta Kapoor in collaboration with Connekkt Media and AVS Studios. The film is set to release in five languages, catering to a wide audience. It is a high-octane action drama set in a historical backdrop, exploring the bond between a father and his son. Shanaya Kapoor’s role is said to be significant, serving as a crucial link between the past and the present timelines of the narrative. Her character is expected to combine elements of glamour and performance.
Ekta Kapoor, known for her successful productions, shared her excitement about collaborating with megastar Mohanlal in “Vrushabha.” She announced the film through a social media post, expressing her enthusiasm for working with the actor par excellence. The film is directed by Nanda Kishore and is expected to be an epic action entertainer that transcends generations. It aims to be one of the biggest films of 2024 and will be simultaneously released in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi.
“Vrushabha” draws inspiration from the highly successful Telugu film “Magadheera” directed by SS Rajamouli. Apart from Mohanlal and Shanaya Kapoor, the cast includes Roshan Meka, Garuda Ram, Simran, and Srikant. The music will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad, and the cinematography will be handled by Santhosh Thundyil.
The filming for “Vrushabha” is scheduled to commence by the end of July, marking an exciting new chapter for Shanaya Kapoor as she steps into the world of cinema. Fans eagerly anticipate her debut and the release of this ambitious pan-Indian film.
