Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming films, “Jawan” and “Dunki,” have already created a buzz in the industry as their non-theatrical rights have been sold for record-breaking amounts. The combined rights of the two films were reportedly sold for INR 450-500 crore, setting a new benchmark in the non-theatrical deals market.

According to sources, the digital, satellite, and music rights for “Jawan” were sold for approximately Rs 250 crore, while the rights for “Dunki” fetched around Rs 230 crore. The rights for “Jawan” cover all languages, whereas “Dunki” primarily focuses on the Hindi market.

These deals have positioned Shah Rukh Khan in a league of his own, as he now holds the top two non-theatrical deals of all time. The significant revenue generated from these deals is a testament to Shah Rukh Khan’s superstardom and his immense popularity both in India and internationally.

Industry insiders suggest that there are still some non-theatrical deals in the pipeline, and the final non-theatrical revenue for both films is expected to reach close to Rs 500 crore. These individual deals will rank among the highest ever for a feature film.

The OTT platforms and other players in the non-theatrical space are willing to invest heavily in Shah Rukh Khan’s films due to his global appeal and massive fan following. The success of these deals highlights Shah Rukh Khan’s command over the audience and his ability to deliver premium content that resonates with viewers worldwide.

Directed by Atlee, “Jawan” is scheduled to be released on September 7, while “Dunki,” helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, is set for a Christmas release later this year. Fans and industry experts are eagerly awaiting these films, expecting them to be blockbuster hits given the anticipation surrounding them and the massive investments made in their non-theatrical rights.
