Indian publication Stock Gro has reported that Virat Kohli, the renowned cricketer, has become one of the wealthiest Indian celebrities, with a net worth surpassing Rs1,000 crore.
According to the portal, Kohli’s net worth comprises his Indian cricket contract, brand endorsements, ownership of brands, and income from social media posts, amounting to Rs1,050 crore. The majority of his earnings reportedly come from brand endorsements.
The breakdown of his earnings suggests that Kohli earns Rs7 crore annually from his Indian team contract. Additionally, he receives Rs15 lakh for each Test match, Rs6 lakh for each One-Day International (ODI), and Rs3 lakh for each T20 match. His annual income from the T20 league is Rs15 crore.
It has also been revealed that Kohli charges Rs8.9 crore and Rs2.5 crore per post on Instagram and Twitter, respectively, for social media collaborations.
Furthermore, apart from his cricketing career, Kohli owns brands like One8, which includes a restaurant and athleisure line, and Wrogn, a luxury clothing brand.
