WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging platform owned by Meta, is introducing a new feature that will allow users in Singapore and Colombia to create broadcast channels to share updates with their followers. The feature is being rolled out to iOS users in these two countries with the release of WhatsApp for iOS version 23.14.74.

The new feature was reported by WABetaInfo, a website known for tracking WhatsApp updates and features. While the official changelog for the update doesn’t provide detailed information about the new features, it has been discovered that WhatsApp is now introducing the ability to create channels in Singapore and Colombia.

To access the feature, WhatsApp users in these two countries can go to the “Updates” tab within the app and select “Create channel.” Once a channel is created, users can share the channel invite link with others, allowing them to join and receive updates.

In addition to the channel creation feature, the update also includes an improved sticker navigation feature and a wide collection of avatars, as mentioned in the existing official changelog.

It’s important to note that creating channels is currently limited to Singapore and Colombia, and there is no information available regarding its release in other countries at this time. WhatsApp continues to innovate and introduce new features to enhance the user experience and provide more ways for users to connect and share information.
